The word “host” and “guest” originally meant the same thing. They both derive from the Indo-European word ghosti, “stranger”. One role cannot exist without the other: host and guest participate in the same action over the offering and accepting of food and shelter between “strangers”.

For the opening of Books & Others two dinners where hosted by Rahel Zoller inviting Berlin based artists and publishers dedicated to the book as an independent art form. A place where strangers met and where stories where shared.

Each guest brought a book of their choosing to talk about. The books where displayed on 13th of April of the opening of BOOKS & OTHERS at ACRE. Together with a limited edition of placemats printed with Office Offset.
