OPEN CALL
ACRE invites an individual or collective working at the intersection of curating and artistic research to join the space. We offer a desk space rental in our office and the opportunity to curate a project within the ACRE annual programme.
ACRE is a non-profit project space and residency program for artistic research and practice in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Twice a year, we host one national and one international artist to carry out their projects in an inclusive and experimental environment as part of a studio and research residency. Interested in research-based practices, we strive for collaborative forms of artistic knowledge production and dissemination. Together with guest curators and artists, we organise exhibitions, book launches, screenings, talks and workshops.
The ACRE Library is an integral part of the project space. It comprises an artist’s book archive that reflects the practice and research of our guest artists and project partners. A discursive space for the book as an independent art form. For artists and publishers who experiment with the form of the book and alternative forms of distribution.
If you are looking for a work space for your individual practice and are interested to contribute to ACRE’s upcoming annual programme, please send your proposal until May 1st 2025. The desk space rental will be discussed on an individual basis, depending on demand. Proposals should include a CV and portfolio of previous projects, plus an outline of the project you’d like to carry out at ACRE. Please also indicate potential sources of funding.
We particularly welcome proposals from FLINTA and people with different backgrounds and perspectives. Proposals can be submitted in English or German to info@acrestudios.cc.
