ACRE is a project space located in Berlin Kreuzberg, that hosts a studio residency programme for artistic research and practice. Dedicated to artistic experimentation, ACRE intends to facilitate research and making in an inclusive and open environment. Twice annually, ACRE offers studio residency stipends to cultural workers across disciplines.
The ACRE library is an artists’ book archive that reflects the practice of our guest artists and project partners. The growing archive shows cross-connections as a hypertextual structure—digital and analogue. Other theory and art publications in the collection complement the library. The online catalogue can be accessed via the website. The library is supported by Kreativ-Transfer, with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
ACRE was founded by the artist Katharina Siegel
