ACRE is a non-profit project space and residency program for artistic research and practice in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Each year, ACRE hosts one national and one international artist to carry out their projects in an inclusive and experimental environment as part of a studio and research residency.

Interested in research-based practices, ACRE strives for collaborative forms of artistic knowledge production and dissemination. Together with guest curators and artists, we organise exhibitions, book launches, screenings, talks, and workshops. The ACRE Library is an integral part of the project space. It comprises an artist’s book archive that reflects the practice and research of our guest artists and project partners. A discursive space for the book as an independent art form. Feel free to browse the online catalogue or contact info@acrestudios.cc to make an appointment.
